This mat makes beautiful, dainty lace! I used Sugar Veil and followed all the instructions. Watch all the YouTube videos and be patient! My bride was thrilled with her wedding cake!
It was almost perfect! I used the cake craft lace mix and it worked just like it should. Lace came up clean, didn't rip, didn't stick and it got all of the details. It is a little small, but it's perfect for smaller cakes (or you can just make a lot). I did have a bit of trouble with the smaller stand alone heart's, because they are pretty tiny it's harder to get them out without breaking them, I think I broke 2 pieces out of doing 2 sets. The 2 on either end are also not complete hearts and they're so tiny it's not really worth trying to piece them together.
Well, I didn’t read the measurements, if there were any. However, this lace mat is really small— not too much bigger than my hand, as seen in the photo. You would have to make a lot of lace to go around a cake, or you would have to put the lace on a very tiny cake. This mat is only good for cupcakes. I’ve paid the same price for much larger mats. Not sure if I will keep it. 3 stars because the product would have been good if it we’re a more practical size.
I love this lace mat and am considering getting another so I can do multiple tiers at once. This mat was large enough to cover the outside of my 8” cake with just one large sheet and the design is busy enough that blending the seams is super easy. I’m just a hobby baker and it was easy enough for me to use, you just need patience in getting the lace out! 10/10!
beautiful design for edible lace
Está hermoso, pero es un mat pequeño sus medidas son "2 1/2 X 7 3/4"
. Para lo que lo voy a usar, está perfecto .
Smaller than I thought and a little hard to use.
Very well made and easy to use.
Very small cake lace mat. Used it with gold cake lace. Makes highly detailed, small paisleys that were perfect for cupcakes or as accents in a larger cake design. A winner!
FANTASTIC PRODUCT! Follow the directions and you won't be disappointed. Removed from mold very easily. Very pliable. Took edible paint very well. Looked beautiful on cake! Loved it!
It works great for sugar lace, but it was definitely smaller than I was expecting.
I have never made a kink in my life aside from a normal box cake that didn't look very fancy. I'm not sure I will ever try to make a cake but I enjoy so much watching the videos bye Global Sugar Art. Just watching the information that he provides is relaxing and makes you understand the difficulty of building a cake. I was recently in England and watched a friend make a fondant cake with some massive decorations and I thought well maybe I can do it. I've watched probably two dozen of the GSA videos and I seem to be mustering up some courage. Thank you for the hours of sharing, you do it so well and your voice is very relaxing to listen to. I might have to open account and start ordering. Yes, maybe I'll give it a go!
